Welcome to the UW Family
Your role in your student’s life may be shifting, but it’s just as important as ever. We’re here to help your Husky make the most of their UW experience, and to help you make the most of yours.
Across these pages you’ll find the resources we hear families ask for most: financial aid, campus life, FERPA and access, health and safety, and the rhythm of the academic year. Whether your student just said yes or you’ve done this before, every UW family year is a new year. We’re here to make sure what you know is still accurate.

Happy Mother’s Day to All
May 6, 2026
Mother’s Day is this Sunday, May 10. At UW Parent & Family Programs, we define family in the broadest sense, and that includes the people who do the work of mothering whether or not the title fits neatly. This post is for two readers: the moms, aunts, grandmas, and maternal figures who keep our Huskies going.

You showed up. On April 23, UW families raised more than $41,000 for the UW Parent & Family Fund. Together, you fueled the student emergency fund, 24/7 mental health counselors, and the programs that surround every Husky. Year-round giving keeps these resources strong.
