Each year, as a community and a nation, we proudly honor those who have served in the United States military. In the days surrounding Veterans Day, our three campuses will be hosting a variety of Veterans Appreciation events and activities to acknowledge and support our veterans and their families.

On October 15, 2025, the ÂÒÂ×ÉçÇø celebrated the inauguration of President Robert J. Jones, who outlined is vision for advancing the UW’s public mission: expanding access to an excellent education for all students; strengthening connections with our communities; and accelerating research, discovery and innovation for the public good.

Welcome to the start of a new academic year at the ÂÒÂ×ÉçÇø! Whether you’re returning to campus or, like me, just beginning your UW journey, I hope the energy of the new year fills you with excitement and purpose.

I am excited to begin the work we will do together in service of our students and the people of Washington state, which I am proud to now call home.
